hi friends. got great news to tell u all. yesterday 11 may 2007 marks the new beginning of YJ WINDS. it was the syf competition for jc bands and ytd all jcs were gathered at SCH ( Singapore conference hall ) for the big day!YJ was band no.5 right after AJ and before NJ. so we were scared, nervous and stuff but we managed to play out our best ytd!! For me, it was a great experience as i've nv took part in any indoor com before, so the immense feeling was quite strong as we could see the judges whereas for outdoor, the judges are so high up at the stadium that we could not see them! so it was very different. yeah after that we went in to listen to other jc bands and all was good.
when they are gonna announce the results, some of the bands were at the foyer listening to the broadcast, many loud cheers came and wow, for us we were shocked!! we got a SILVER award!! we screamt and cheered and some seniors teared. i believe this silver is really important to us - yj winds as after so many years of blood and sweat, we clinched a silver this year!! our conductor, Mr Darren Sim was the most happy guy there. haa. he was so nervous for us and he cried too. it was really a happy day! after which we went back to school and celebrated..
wanna say WELL DONE YJ WINDS.. yay!
